Mike's Music.
Back at the start of the 70's I was working as the DJ in an Amsterdam disco, The Bird's Club, when Focus, a new exciting Dutch
group featuring Thijs van Leer, on flute and Hammond organ, and Jan Akkerman as lead guitar, made their very first appearance there.
And they were a sensation!
I was lucky, not only was I honoured to be asked to sing with the band but I was asked to write lyrics for music written by Thijs.
The result was only one on record which I thought was great. It was Happy Nightmare.
